The innovation addresses issues of water sustainability in India

India is home to ~ 17% of the world’s population but has only 4% of the world’s freshwater resources. Managing these for a huge population is a mammoth task. It is estimated that about two lakh people die every year due to inadequate water, sanitation and hygiene.

In 2016, per person disease burden due to unsafe water sanitation was 40 times higher in India than in China and 12 times higher than in Sri Lanka. With the country generating huge amounts of waste water annually, mismanagement of waste water, which also contaminates groundwater, poor sanitation conditions and poor hygiene habits have contributed to a significant portion of the population suffering from water-borne diseases.

In view of the limitations on availability of water and the rising demand for sustainable management of water has acquired critical importance. The scarcity of water has many cascading effects including desertification, loss of biodiversity, lack of water for hydroelectric and thermal power development and risk of exceeding the carrying capacity of urban hubs.

It’s a fact that water is a State subject and its optimal utilization and management lies within the domain of the States. By considering all this, it is very clear that the Nation has to come up with interventions, which not only measures the outcome but also measures the effort involved in achieving these outcomes.

LiquiPro picked up the challenge of water management and conservation by launching – ‘Atmospheric Water Generator’. LiquiPro, an indigenous Atmospheric Water Generator has been created to tackle water problems and provide safe and pure drinking water. It uses the air-to-water technology, which replicates the natural process of condensation by simulating a dew point, which allows it to make water continuously, even in humid conditions as low as 30%.

LiquiPro is able to cater to all kinds of water requirements, from 20 litres of water per day to 10,000 litres of water per day. LiquiPro’s Atmospheric Water Generating systems can be used in industries, construction sites, hydroponic farms, hospitals, hotels, residential buildings, rural areas, educational institutes and many more. Our water generator requires no water source, can work off the grid, does not waste any water and yet provides clean potable water as per requirement.

LiquiPro is fully prepared to help the States cooperate and coordinate its response to tackle the present water crisis that the country is facing. We believe that our Atmospheric Water Generator can create water without disturbing the current water resources by extracting water from vapour (humidity) in air.
