LAVASA PUNE : Lavasa Corporation Limited in association with its community development department (CSR wing) and Apollo Hospital at Lavasa organized a two-day Free Health check up Camp for children of Zilla Parishad Schools in six villages of the project area.
More than 190 children from six schools were benefitted by two day camp where free medicines were provided along with consultation by specialist doctors.
2 specialist doctors in the camp provided consultation to the children, Apart from free health check-up and medicines, children were advised on body cleanliness, applying timely antiseptic creams to wounds, eye check up and overall hygiene.
Present during the health camp, Dasve School Head Master – Kumbhar praised Lavasa Corporation Limited for its health interventions in the area including the health camp and Primary health centre (PHC) which is benefitting many people in the area. Children were given tonic to minimize vitamin deficiency.
Speaking on the occasion Upendra Sontakke, Head CSR, Lavasa Corporation said, “we believe in well being of people in the project area, if children are healthy the nation will be healthy and they will do better study with healthy minds. I am sure there will be a healthy message in the families of these children about maintaining good health. We will undertake more similar initiatives in comings days for the people of the area.”
Among others present on the occasion were Shashikant More, School committee member, Shankar Shedge, Member Gram Panchayat, Vijay More, Executive CSR Lavasa and villagers.
