HYDERABAD (India CSR): KLH Aziz Nagar, Hyderabad, successfully hosted a hands-on workshop titled “Build with AI using Google Cloud” in collaboration with Google Developer Groups (GDG) recently. Organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, the event received special support from Aarshad Devani, Senior Software Engineer & GDG Hyderabad Lead, and Mr. Siv Ram Shastri Jonnalagadda, GDG Cloud Organizer. The workshop witnessed active participation from students and faculty, offering a unique platform to explore AI-driven technologies and real-world applications.
Participants gained practical exposure to integrating external data with Google Gemini using advanced frameworks such as Model Context Protocol (MCP), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Intelligent Data Collection (IDC). The sessions focused on real-time data integration, intelligent retrieval system development, and scalable AI solutions powered by Google Cloud. Through interactive modules and project-based learning, participants developed context-aware applications capable of solving complex industry challenges.
The event featured distinguished GDG speakers, including Mr. Jay Thakkar, Team Lead & Product Manager – AI, who demonstrated MCP integration and developed custom VM authentication for secure AI data interactions.
Highlighting the transformative impact of AI education, Er. Koneru Lakshman Havish, Vice-President, KL Deemed to be University, stated, “This collaboration nurtures creativity, innovation, and technological excellence among our students — empowering them to transform ideas into intelligent solutions for the real world.” The collaboration marks the beginning of a long-term partnership with GDG, paving the way for continuous technical enrichment, mentorship programs, and deeper integration of Google Cloud tools in student-led innovation and research initiatives.
The success of the event was made possible by the efforts of Dr. A. Ramakrishna (Principal), Dr. Arpita Gupta (HOD – CSE), and Dr. N. Rama Rao (Convenor – GDG Workshop).
