Kaushik Sinha is the Vice President (VP) – CSR, Corporation Communications and Administration at Magma Fincorp Limited.

Kaushik Sinha has a long and successful career spanning 25 years in the field of Communications. He started his professional journey in 1994 as a journalist and covered Politics, Sports, Business etc. before he was inducted in the editorial board of the vernacular newspaper he represented.

In 1997, he joined the PR and Advertising field and handled some of the larger businesses for the agencies he worked with. He was instrumental in managing successful campaigns for notable brands namely, Bharat Petroleum, Tata Steel, IBP Co Ltd, British Council, Command Cellular, BOC India, National Insurance etc.

Kaushik joined Magma in 2004 and since then held several national roles including Corporate Communications, Training & Leadership Development, Corporate Social Responsibility, Brand Marketing and Administration etc. Under his supervision the group has been recognized repeatedly for excellence in CSR and Corporate Communications.

By Education, Kaushik is a Post Graduate in Mass Communication, he has also attended professional training from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Indore. He further attended several workshops held by the Graduate Business School of Stanford University, in India.

Kaushik is highly passionate about Corporate Social Responsibility and the social impact it is able to drive in India. While he leads the CSR team of Magma at a Group Level, he is also a Trustee of the Magma Foundation and has conceptualized Magma’s CSR programmes, some of which have been recognized at large National forums since 2015.

Magma’s CSR programs are designed around the three pillars of Education, Health and Environment. Magma’s largest programee – Magma Highway Heroes has the distinction of being one of the largest CSR programmes for the Trucker community, which has provided road-safety and fuel efficiency training to over 1,75,000 Truckers through its 250 odd camps located at Transport Nagars.

Magma’s M-Scholar initiative is shaping lives of the bright and meritorious students from underprivileged families across 17 states. M-Care is Magma’s health initiative which offers free medical facilities to the rural poor located in remote corners of India.

The company also encourages its employees to take up social work through the “Magma Swayam” programme.

CSR is a creative opportunity for companies to fundamentally strengthen their businesses while contributing to society at the same time. Magma drives CSR with a long term commitment and by engaging the entire workforce. –

On the personal front, Kaushik follows current affairs keenly. He takes special interest in Indian History, especially the Mughal Era and Post-Independence India. He also enjoys playing Quiz Master and takes special interest in facilitating Group Training Activities. He aspires to be an Author before he turns 50.
