The Angul Cement Plant, designed with the latest industry-leading technology, started its operations with an impressive production capacity of 1.5 Million Tonnes Per Annum (MTPA). This capacity is set to double, reaching 3 MTPA by 2026. The Angul facility, together with the existing 1 MTPA Raigarh Plant, provides Jindal Panther Cement with a combined production capacity of 2.5 MTPA, ensuring a strong supply chain and capacity to meet the growing demands of the construction industry.

Strategically located in Odisha, the Angul Plant is expected to cater to the needs of the burgeoning construction activities not only in Odisha but also in neighboring states such as West Bengal, Bihar, and others. This strategic positioning makes Jindal Panther Cement well-equipped to contribute to the infrastructure growth of the entire eastern region, supporting both urban and rural development projects.

1. Premium Cement Variants Unveiled

The launch event in Puri witnessed the unveiling of three premium cement variants, each tailored to specific construction needs and offering advanced features that set them apart in the industry. These variants aim to provide superior quality cement for various construction applications, enhancing both performance and durability:

  • Jindal Panther Concrete Ultima (PSC Cement): This variant is known for its high strength, corrosion resistance, and tamper-proof packaging. It is ideal for constructing structures that require enhanced durability and long-term resilience.
  • Jindal Panther Shield (PSC): This premium cement provides a superior finish along with resistance to chloride and sulphate attacks, making it suitable for projects exposed to aggressive environments. The enhanced durability makes it an optimal choice for a variety of infrastructure projects.
  • Jindal Panther Shield (CC Cement): An eco-friendly variant, the Jindal Panther Shield (CC) provides a premium finish and offers unmatched durability. It reflects Jindal Panther Cement’s focus on sustainable building practices.

Each of these products has been developed with a focus on quality and sustainability, reflecting the company’s ambition to lead the cement market with cutting-edge offerings that ensure safety, strength, and environmental consciousness.

2. Commitment to Sustainable Practices

The Angul Cement Plant has been designed as a model of sustainable industrial development. The facility features advanced technology that not only enhances production efficiency but also minimizes environmental impact. The plant incorporates eco-conscious systems to reduce emissions and optimize energy use, showcasing Jindal Panther Cement’s dedication to minimizing its carbon footprint and adhering to global sustainability standards. By implementing innovative solutions that reduce energy consumption, the company aims to set new benchmarks for green manufacturing in the cement industry.

3. CEO’s Vision for the Future

Speaking at the launch event, Rohit Vohra, CEO of Jindal Panther Cement, highlighted the importance of the Angul Cement Plant as a key milestone in the company’s growth journey. “The Angul Cement Plant represents a significant advancement for Jindal Panther Cement. It combines cutting-edge technology with eco-friendly practices to provide superior, more sustainable, and high-performance cement products,” Vohra said. He emphasized that the company is committed to setting new industry standards in quality, performance, and sustainability, which will empower the construction sector across India and help redefine building practices.

Vohra also reiterated the company’s commitment to enhancing the value chain by providing cement that is consistent in quality and durable, thereby strengthening infrastructure projects in the region. “With the launch of Jindal Panther Cement in Odisha, we are ready to contribute to the growth of infrastructure and build a robust foundation for the future,” he added.

4. Strategic Market Expansion

With its debut in Odisha, Jindal Panther Cement marks the beginning of its strategic expansion across East India, tapping into the rapidly growing construction needs of the region. The Angul Plant’s production capabilities, coupled with the Raigarh facility, ensure that Jindal Panther Cement will be able to meet increasing market demand while supporting large-scale infrastructure and housing projects.
