The International Conference on Public Policy and Management 2024 promises to be a significant platform for advancing governance and local development in Bihar and beyond.

PATANA (India CSR): The Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP), in collaboration with Georgia State University, Atlanta, USA, is set to host the 2nd International Conference on Public Policy and Management (ICPPM) 2024. Scheduled for the 17th and 18th of June 2024, this landmark event will take place at the CIMP campus. The conference will focus on the theme ‘Promoting Good Governance and Local Development in Bihar and Beyond: The Latest Scholarship and Practice.’ The forum aims to bring together leading academics, policymakers, government officials, development practitioners, and representatives from civil society to discuss and explore innovative strategies and best practices in governance and local development.

A Platform for Exchange and Collaboration

The conference will be inaugurated by Brajesh Mehrotra, Chief Secretary of the Government of Bihar. Dr. S. Siddhartha, Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department, Government of Bihar, will serve as the Chief Guest for the valedictory session. The event is poised to foster meaningful dialogue and collaboration among participants, paving the way for improved governance and development initiatives.

Key Highlights of the Conference

Memorandum of Understanding with Georgia State University

The collaboration between the Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna and Georgia State University marks a significant milestone. The institutions have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance their cooperation in various academic aspects, including teaching, research, training, and student and faculty exchange programs.

Inaugural Session

The conference will be officially opened by the Honorable Chief Secretary of Bihar, Brajesh Mehrotra.

The session will also feature esteemed speakers such as Prof. Charles Hankla from Georgia State University and Prof. Anjali Thomas from the Georgia Institute of Technology, who will share their insights on public policy and management.

Governance on Ground: Insights from Bihar

The first panel discussion will focus on the practical aspects of governance in Bihar. Senior policymakers, representatives from development institutes, civil society organizations, local self-government, and academia will share their experiences and insights. Notable panel speakers include:

Entrepreneurship in Bihar: The Emerging Trend and Challenges

The second panel discussion will address the burgeoning trend of entrepreneurship in Bihar, highlighting the opportunities and challenges faced by local entrepreneurs. Distinguished panel speakers include:
