Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, under the guidance of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Chancellor Dr Paul Dhinakaran, has organized “Fit India Freedom Run 2.0” in its campus and at the hometowns of their students today. Fit India Freedom Run is a movement launched by the Government of India to order to improve the health, reduce fatigue, reduce obesity, relieve stress and reduce anxiety in its citizens.
Fit India Freedom Run organized by Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences (KITS) was held with the purpose of bringing health awareness among its staff and students. Due to the pandemic situation prevailing throughout the country, students were motivated to attend the event at their hometowns. More than 200 students participated in this endeavor at their hometowns. 120 professors and staff participated in the run conducted at the Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences campus this morning.
The event was inaugurated by the Registrar Dr. Elijah Blessing. The event was organized under the leadership of the Head of the Department of Physical Education, Dr. A. Kaleb Rajan. E-certificates were issued by the Central Government of India were distributed to the Participants.
