BHUBANESWAR: While inaugurating voluntary blood donation camp, Ramesh R Pai, Chief Operating Officer, GKEL said, “Every healthy person should come forward to donate blood. This will help many patients during an emergency. There is a shortage of blood in all blood banks. And such a camp by GKEL will help in emergency situation.”
He appreciated employees’ enthusiasm to save lives by donating blood.
GMR Kamalanga Energy Limited (GKEL) in association with Odisha Red Cross Blood Bank, Dhenkanal, organised a voluntary blood donation camp at its plant site hospital, on June 20, 2017. In this camp total 145 units of blood, donated by employees of GKEL and its associate partners collected.
Ramesh R Pai, Chief Operating Officer, GKEL inaugurated the camp in the presence of Mrs. Sandhya Pai, President of Pragati Ladies Club. Pai was the first donor of the camp.

And such a camp by GKEL will help in emergency situation.” He appreciated employees’ enthusiasm to save lives by donating blood.
Enthusiastic participants including GKEL employees, Raxa Security Services, GMR Varalakshmi Foundation and operating companies participated in the noble cause. Odisha Red Cross Blood Bank distributed certificates to the donors and appreciated GKEL employees for organising a successful blood donation camp.
Senior employees of GKEL- Arabinda Pani, Head (O&M), Srijit Mishra, Head (HR), Haresh Patnaik, Head (Mechanical), Dillip Kumar Kar, Program Leader (CSR), Sushil Kumar Choudhury, Head (Infrastructure), Arun Kumar Ch, Head (CHP&AHP), Susanta Sahoo, Head (EHS) and Raja S, Head, (C&C) donated blood.
