MUMBAI: Recognizing his efforts and outstanding contribution for the betterment of the society, the Indian Virtual University for Peace and Education (IVUP) has honored Dr. Huz (Huzaifa Khorakiwala), Founder of The World Peacekeepers Movement (TWPM), CEO of Wockhardt Foundation, with an ‘Honorarium Doctorate’.
The World Peacekeepers Movement (TWPM) is one of the many initiatives taken by Dr. Huz to spread world peace. TWPM signifies the world’s mass grass roots movement of peace through the creation of the world’s largest army – The World Peace Army. Today at 1.6 million Peacekeepers The World Peacekeepers Army is the world’s 2nd largest army present on Facebook.
The movement targets to outnumber the “The People’s Liberation Army” of China to become the largest peace force of its kind in the world. It is a movement based on the enlightening concept of The World Peace Triangle, -Peace with Self, Peace with People and Peace with Nations.
IUVP is a Bangalore based virtual private university, offering online courses right from diploma to PhD levels. It is registered under the Planning Commission, Government of India. The Honorarium was conferred at the annual awards event of the institute to honor dignitaries from different walks of life in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the society and development of the nation.
Accepting the honour, Dr. Huz said, “I humbly accept this recognition on behalf of the entire The World Peacekeepers Movement & Wockhardt Foundation family. We will continue contributing towards the betterment of the society by improving quality of life and quality of thoughts”
Prior to this Dr. Huz had also received Honorarium Doctorate from The Open International University at the 49th World Congress of Integrated medicines in June 2011. It was an honour for the work done by him under the umbrella of Wockhardt Foundation.
The World Peacekeepers Movement
The World Peacekeepers Movement is a movement promoted and founded by Dr. Huz (Huzaifa Khorakiwala), CEO of Wockhardt Foundation. Its vision is to spread world peace through the formation of the world’s largest army – The World Peace Army’. Dr. Huz believes that world peace is based on the foundation of inner peace of the human race, which can be enriched and enhanced through the 7 Peace Values – Gratitude, Forgiveness, Love, Humility, Giving, Patience and Truth. Inculcating these values is the key to attaining peace at emotional, individual, societal, corporate, community and global level. The peace movement is designed to embrace the ‘Inner Peace’ as the Inner Peace is the foundation of the world peace.
Dr. Huz believes that ‘if our mind rests in peace only then can we spread peace among others’. Wockhardt Foundation
Wockhardt Foundation is a national, not-for-profit organization engaged in social service and human welfare activities. Its 9 programmes have made perceptible change in its areas of operations to the lives of the underprivileged. Mobile 1000, its flagship programme, aims at operating 1000 Mobile Health Vans in rural India and administering free primary healthcare to 25 million Indians every year. As of date, there are 79 Mobile 1000 Vans operating in 18 states and doing yeoman service to rural India.
