NEW DELHI: DLF Foundation organised an Eye Care Camp in association with Arunodaya Deseret Eye Hospital (ADEH) on October 7, 2014 for improving the eye sight of the underprivileged in Wazirabad village of Gurgaon.
The participants from the village included young girls and boys, women, men and the aged. Prior to the camp pamphlets regarding the camp were distributed among the villagers to create awareness and enthuse participation. The camp was organized with the help of staff of ADEH and Sarpanch of the Panchayat.
Separate forms were filled in to register the details of each patient, subsequently their eye sight was checked. More than 100 people were registered and checked for eye problems. 47 patients were given spectacles at a nominal cost of Rs.25/- each.
Several patients with severe eye problems were referred to the Doctor of ADEH for suitable treatment. This was one of the ongoing regular camps organized by DLF Foundation in association with ADEH in various villages of Gurgaon and will be continued in the future as well.
