ODISHA : DAV Vedanta Int. School celebrated its 9th annual function with lots of joy and happiness. K.K Dave, Chief Operating Officer of Vedanta Limited cum President DAV Vedanta International School, SMC, graced the occasion as the chief guest Jalaj Malpani-Head Finance, Mrs Mamta Dave-Chairman Vedanta Ladies Club were also present on the occasion.
The function commenced with the lighting of the lamp, followed by the welcome speech by Principal. Addressing the audience,Dave, commended the exalted standards of the institution and the contributions made by it in grooming children in a tribal dominated area like Lanjigarh. scholarship of Rs.5000/- was given to Mauritius students for toppers of class VI, VII, VIII.

The prizes for excellence in various activities were also given away by the invited guests. During the function, a newsletter of the school was also inaugurated by the guests. The atmosphere was filled with a variety of scintillating cultural programs of songs, skits and dances by students of DAV Vedanta International School. Children entertained the gathering of about 1000 people with Sambalpuri Dance, Odishi Dance, and Local tribal Dance etc.
The DAV Vedanta International School, Lanjigarh is the only English medium school in Lanjigarh region with 700 more students and awarded as PrakrutiMitra and Green B in CBSE Board Last year. The school has benefited a number of tribal students in the periphery area along with children of employees of Vedanta limited.
As per sources, Vedanta ltd has been developing the world class infrastructure development with all modern facilities and also doing the expenses of Rs.2.5 crore annually for the operation and maintenance of the institution, Transportation and Providing quality education in 50 k.m radius with digital class room, Math lab, Science lab, Kids lab, Computer Lab, Library etc.
