LANJIGARH: Vedanta Lanjigarh has spearheaded Project Pragati by inaugurating a Multi-Purpose Community Centre on 22nd June and laid its Foundation Stone in the Govt. High School Playground, Lanjigarh in Odisha.
Vedanta’s efforts towards the overall community development were appreciated and lauded by the guests present as well as the CEO, Dixit. “Our long term relationship with the people of Lanjigarh has strengthened beyond economic symbiosis. The community believes that there is a need for a multi-purpose Centre in Lanjigarh and it will serve as a convening point for various socio-cultural events and activities.” he added.
Be it the infrastructure establishment or improving the socio-economic conditions, Vedanta has committed itself to provide resources and provide support that the communities require and received appreciation for pro-active development activities for their benefit.
This occasion marked the presence of Mirdha Toppo, Sub-collector, Kalahandi, Mani Majhi, Sarpanch, Lanjigarh gram panchayat, Binod Kumar Gouda, Youth Club President, Lanjigarh, and Himadri Pesnia, Labour Union President, Lanjigarh.
Representing the company were Ajay Dixit, CEO-Alumina and Power, Phillip Campbell, Director Technical, KA Chowdary, Head Projects, Mahendra Kumar Raut, Head Human Resources, Harmeet Sehra, Chief Community Development Officer and Shivanand Mohanty, Head PR & Corporate Communications.
