Tech Mahindra Ltd. a leading provider of digital transformation, consulting and business reengineering services, has today announced the launch of ‘Gift A Career’ initiative to upskill the youth across India. Under this initiative, Tech Mahindra will launch an Individual Social Responsibility (ISR) mobile app to power training in IT (information technology) and digital, conversational English and workplace readiness.
The training will be offered through Tech Mahindra Foundation’s SMART centres and academies across 11 locations in India. The program is distributed as SMART+ for persons with disabilities and SMART-T for technical skills and offers training in more than 45 domains.
People across the age group of 18-30 years with a 10th class certification will be eligible for this training program. ‘Gift A Career’ initiative will also provide hiring/placement assistance in the open market, post the completion of the course as a part of the company’s initiatives for greater good.

The beneficiaries of the initiative can be identified and recommended by the employees of Tech Mahindra. The employee will have to register into ‘Gift A Career’ initiative through ISR mobile app, fill a form with beneficiary details and refer any number of eligible candidates who may benefit from the program. Since 2012-13 close to 107,799 young men & women have been trained in SMART centres and academies. More than 75% graduates are placed in multiple jobs upon successful completion of the training.
