Relaxo Footwears Limited has undertaken the Parivartan Model School Development Project, a CSR programme that focuses on various initiatives to promote education. The project’s objectives include increasing public awareness of education, energising school management committees, and carrying out construction and restoration projects inside the school.
Issue faced by Government Primary School, Karanpur
Since there was an ongoing problem with sewage water collection in the school grounds and classrooms, Government Primary School in Karanpur has been unable to hold courses there for around three years. Despite submitting applications to the Administration, the National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights, and the Education Department, no resolution could be provided because of disagreements among the communities.
The Education Support Group is here to help
The Parivartan project introduced the novel idea of an Education Support Group (ESG) in the target area, wherein responsible village residents form a group whose main duty is to address any problems impeding construction work, education in the village, and the successful completion of the project’s objectives.
Cooperation between Relaxo and the neighbourhood
The construction of a small wall at the sewage water entry site was decided upon by the ESG members and community members in order to stop the flow of sewage into the school grounds. The success of this relationship shows the value of teamwork in helping rural educational institutions overcome obstacles.

The answer to the GPS issue in today’s world, it is crucial for the Education Department, Relaxo, and the local community to work together effectively, and Karanpur is a prime example of this. All of the Khanpur Block’s schools have received commendable work from Relaxo, who also addressed some problems at Karanpur Primary School.
