Kolkata (India CSR): Genius Foundation, the CSR arm of the leading human resources organization, Genius Consultants Ltd., commence the training sessions for the development of skills amongst young workers to further add value and increase employability. On 17th of December 2021, Genius Consultants Ltd. collaborated with Electronics Sector Skills Council of India(ESSCI) and signed and MoU aiming towards the skill development and training of employable youth. The training centre was jointly inaugurated by Genius Consultants Ltd. and ESSCI on 14th of March 2022.
The youth skill development courses are currently being conducted at Ascensive Educare Ltd., Barasat, Kolkata, where participants are receiving technical training on repairing and maintaining refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, water purifiers, and other appliances. The duration of the course will be about 6 months,post completion of which, technical kits will be provided to the respective trainees and they will also be facilitated to start their own venture. The training, started currently with 60 beneficiaries, is to equip people for sustainable livelihood generation and to encourage them to become an entrepreneur.
Commenting on the MoU signing, R P Yadav, CMD, Genius Consultants Ltd., said, “We are extremely thrilled to announce the commencement of the youth development training sessions in partnership with ESSCI. The purpose of these sessions is to help vulnerable individuals rehabilitate themselves with better career options. We hope that our little efforts in training young individuals with conducive skills will help empower them and enable them to get a stable livelihood. “
To make this a successful program, Genius Consultants Ltd. has contributed 20 lakhs as part of their CSR activity to help accelerate this noble initiative to help upskill various workers registered with NSDC.They will also be lending their assistance in recruiting these workers as per requirement. They have created a designated team that will be identifying and helping many such workers who may benefit from these training programmes.
