CSR: Mitsubishi Electric India Boosts Philanthropic Activities in Bengaluru Region

Mitsubishi Electric India understands the need for quality education and sustainable learning. The company installed Air Conditioners at Government Industrial Training Institute located in Peenya, Bengaluru.

Bengaluru: Mitsubishi Electric India has been contributing towards the development of the society since a long time now with its products and Solutions. Stepping ahead to create a sustainable society for all, Mitsubishi Electric Intensified its CSR Initiatives across 10 cities in India. The CSR strategy of the company is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Government of India’s initiatives to create a better world for future generations.

Bengaluru is the fastest growing city in India. The company extends support to bring development to the technologically driven capital of the country through its products, solutions and CSR Activities. The efforts of Mitsubishi Electric India have positively impacted the important areas such as Education, Clean Water & Sanitation and Healthcare to create a sustainable society for all. Since 2018, under its Community Development Program, the company has supported Bengaluru city by providing Clean Drinking Water and Sanitation facilities to over 7 Government schools. The company has installed and continues to maintain RO units in these schools every year. This has benefited around 5000 students with access to clean drinking water facility across the city.

Mitsubishi Electric India understands the need for quality education and sustainable learning. The company installed Air Conditioners at Government Industrial Training Institute located in Peenya, Bengaluru. The purpose of this activity is to support the infrastructure of the Government Institutions and help them excel so that students from every section of the society can get a comfortable learning environment to study and progress. The launch activity at the ITI was done by Mr. Masaya Takeda, General Manager, CNC Systems, Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt. Ltd.

Addressing the occasion, Mr. Masaya Takeda, General Manager, CNC Systems, Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt. Ltd, said, “Bengaluru is known as the ‘Silicon Valley of India’, since it is home to thriving IT Industry and Businesses. We have seen Bengaluru contributing towards the technological advancement of the country. We are delighted that apart from contributing through our products and solutions, we got this opportunity to make our contribution for the upliftment of the country through our CSR Initiatives as well. We aim to continue by extending our support to strengthen the education sector of the city by bringing more benefits for the future generation.”

Mitsubishi Electric India has not only impacted the education sector of Bengaluru but has spread its support to the Healthcare sector as well. The company has installed Air Conditioners in 7 Government Hospitals and Public Health Centres located at the Bidadi, Ramanagara area of the city.

This community development initiative took place on the outskirts of Bengaluru, to help the people living there have access to improved healthcare facilities. The Government Hospitals and Public Health Centres, which were covered under this CSR Initiative include Bidadi Government Hospital, Harohalli Government Hospital, Kanakapura Government Hospital, Sathnoor Government Hospital, Hosadurga Government Hospital, Chanapatna Government Hospital and Magadi Government Hospital.

The purpose of this initiative is to provide better treatment facilities and support the infrastructure of the Government Hospitals and Public Health Centres, by creating comfortable and hygienic environment for the poor and vulnerable sections of the society as well. The launch activity for the Bidadi location Government Hospitals and Public health Centres was done by Mr. Toshihiro Satake, Factory Head, Transportation System Division, Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt. Ltd.

Mr. Toshihiro Satake, Factory Head, Transportation System Division, Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt. Ltd, explained the importance of such CSR initiatives and said, “In the need for a better and developed future of the country, it is important to work hard and uplift each corner of the country. Our motive to bring sustainable development solutions helped us to take a step ahead by providing better facilities for the healthcare system and bringing advancement to each corner. We wish to keep up with these small contributions in and around our Factory in Bidadi through our business as well as the consistent Philanthropic Activities. I am thankful to all the Government hospitals and ITI for giving us this opportunity.”
