Talcher – Odisha (India CSR): The inauguration of the Pabitra Mohan Pradhan Government Hospital at Talcher by the Chief Minister of Odisha has marked a significant milestone in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL). This event signifies MCL’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of the local community.
Pabitra Mohan Pradhan Medical College: A CSR Endeavor
Established under MCL’s CSR initiatives, this medical facility, located in Talcher, was constructed at a cost of Rs 492 crore, embodying the company’s dedication to social welfare and healthcare.
MCL’s Gratitude to Odisha Government and Dignitaries
During his closing remarks at the inaugural ceremony, Keshav Rao, CMD of MCL, expressed profound gratitude to the Government of Odisha for their indispensable support in helping the company fulfill the aspirations of the people. The newly inaugurated hospital will serve as a teaching hospital for the proposed Medical College in the region.
Acknowledgment of Support from Union Ministers and Local Representatives
Rao also extended his appreciation to Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Union Minister of Education, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, and Pralhad Joshi, Union Minister of Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs, for their continuous guidance and support. He further acknowledged the contributions and support of Shri Mahesh Sahoo, Hon’ble MP (LS), Shri Brajakishore Pradhan, Hon’ble MLA Talcher, representatives of MCL employee unions, the district administration, and the general public, whose collective efforts played a crucial role in the realization of this significant healthcare project.
