SAMBALPUR: Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) has taken a significant step towards bridging the digital divide in education by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish 100 smart classrooms in Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, and Mayurbhanj districts of Odisha. The MOU was signed by the General Manager (CSR) on behalf of MCL and the Assistant Manager (Project In-charge (Digital Education Services) on behalf of EdCIL (India) Ltd., a Government of India Enterprise, with the respective district administration.
The initiative aims to digitize education and provide access to modern learning resources to underprivileged children studying in government schools in these three districts. The smart classrooms will be equipped with modern teaching aids such as interactive whiteboards, projectors, and other digital tools to enhance the learning experience of students.
