Since the beginning of this Century, the world has realised that the only meaningful way to grow and develop is one that is inclusive and sustainable.
The present path of development is not sustainable in the longer term, even if the enormous potentials of the market and technological innovation were realised. It is up to us to decide that the 21st Century goes to history as the beginning of a new age, with a new social and economic model based on “sustainability and inclusivity”.

From history we have learnt that resource-intensive, flow of resources, and non-inclusive development is destructive even for those that led such development and growth.
In other words, growth models need reworking. In this context, the Centre is organising its 5th Sustainability Summit: Asia 2010-Remodelling Growth to understand the complex challenges which confront the modern world and to identify specific action points which must be planned to improve the prospects for sustainable and inclusive growth.
It will engage decision makers and experts from government, business, and institutions, and provide them with strategies and solutions for action.
