A Tribute to Valor: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai to Attend Statue Unveiling Ceremony in Raigarh
RAIPUR (India CSR): In a heartfelt gesture of remembrance and honor, Shri Subhash Tripathi, father of the late Colonel Viplav Tripathi, met with Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai at the State Guest House Pahuna in Raipur. The visit’s purpose was to extend an invitation to the Chief Minister for the unveiling ceremony of a statue dedicated to the martyr.
A Father’s Pride and Grief
Subhash Tripathi, during his visit, informed the Chief Minister about the establishment of a statue and a memorial plaque by the Martyr Colonel Viplav Tripathi Memorial Trust.
The statue, located in front of the Colonel Viplav Tripathi Stadium in Raigarh, serves as a lasting tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of Colonel Tripathi.
The Chief Minister’s Response
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai expressed his deep respect for the late Colonel, remembering him as the brave son of Raigarh district who sacrificed his life for the nation. He assured his attendance at the unveiling ceremony, stating that it would be an honor to pay homage to the martyr’s legacy.
The Legacy of Colonel Tripathi
Colonel Viplav Tripathi, commissioned in the Kumaon Regiment in 2003, had a distinguished military career. He served in challenging locations like Siachen, Kupwara, Nowshera, and Congo, as well as in various Indian army bases.
His ultimate sacrifice occurred on November 13, 2021, during an ambush by separatist groups near the Bihang area bordering Myanmar. In this tragic incident, Colonel Tripathi, his wife Anuja, and son Abir laid down their lives for the country.
A Community’s Salute
Also present during the meeting were Colonel Tripathi’s maternal uncles, Shri Rajesh Patnaik and Gokul Patnaik, highlighting the widespread impact of his heroism on the community.
The upcoming unveiling ceremony is not only a tribute to Colonel Tripathi’s valor but also a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made by military families.
This statue’s unveiling in Raigarh will serve as a beacon of inspiration and a poignant reminder of the price of peace and freedom.
