A special radio series “Atpate Vigyaan Ki Chatpati Charchayein (Science concepts through story)” will be aired on community Radio Alfaz-e-Mewat FM 107.8 (an initiative of S M Sehgal Foundation) in collaboration with Commonwealth of Educational Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA) beginning September 27, 2021. The ten-episode series is based on interesting stories sharing scientific concepts.
Targeted at youth, the series will aim at increasing awareness on everyday science at work through storytelling bridging the gap between theory and reality in a fun way.
Pooja Oberoi Murada, principal lead, Outreach for Development at S M Sehgal Foundation and representative at community radio Alfaz-e-Mewat said, “The purpose of this series is to make children, especially girls familiar with basic science such as life around us, what are antibodies, what is X-ray, and many others. The radio series tries to demystify science for better understanding. We thank CEMCA for this initiative connecting children with science through community radios.”
The radio series will air daily from September 27, 2021 at 9:30 am in the morning and 8:30 pm in the evening on Alfaz-e-Mewat FM 107.8. Listeners can participate in the live phone–in program about the episode by calling Alfaz-e-Mewat’s studio number 9813164542.
Alfaz-e-Mewat was established by Sehgal Foundation in the year 2012. The station broadcasts 13 hours daily reaching to over 225 villages.
