Ahmedabad – Cadila Pharmaceuticals supports Self-Help Group (SHG) to provide technical knowledge and financial support to women through a programme which preserves traditional handicrafts and procure materials required for its training.
SHG has started giving training to its members on khatla Bharat, a traditional form of handicraft which will help women to improve their economic condition and become financially independent.
After the completion of the training, women will be able to earn up to Rs 5,000 per month by getting orders directly from manufacturing units.
SHG plans to increase the numbers of women for training on khatla Bharat and plans to provide training for entrepreneurial journeys in tailoring units and beauty parlours.
The group is also hosting motivational and informative sessions with NGOs like SEWA to encourage women for the training programme.
