On the occasion of Earth Day, which is celebrated today, Abhishek Ranjan, Director, Sustainability, Brillio – while talking about the measures its company has undertaken towards a sustainable future, said, “We recognize our role in environmental impact on our planet. Protection of the environment is a core value and is integral to our business.”
“We strive to embed the culture of ‘Act Responsible & Think Sustainable’ through our environmental sustainability initiative called GREEN SMILES that focuses on reducing carbon emissions across all our locations.”, he said.
“Due to our sustained efforts, our energy consumption reduces every year. In 2019, our energy consumption was reduced by 13.2%, and in 2020, it got reduced by 90%. On this Earth Day, Brillio proudly announces to becoming a carbon-negative company by 2025. Brillio complies with CDP (Carbon Disclosure Report) since 2018.”, he added.
We have internally developed ‘Brillio Green Smiles Calculator’ to collect data that measures our emissions. We have also started a Food Waste Awareness Program, where we explain to children about the problems and consequences of food waste. We also provide solutions to them for avoiding food waste at home and school. This initiative is currently running across Citizens School, in the Bay Area, and schools in India.”, he further added.
