Blockchain For Impact’s ‘India Reimagined Fellowship’ to Bring Global Researchers, Clinicians, and Innovators to India; Applications Open Till January 31, 2026
NEW DELHI (India CSR): In a move to turn India into a global research powerhouse, Blockchain For Impact (BFI) has launched the ‘India Reimagined Fellowship’, a new international program to bring world-class scientists, innovators, and health professionals to India.
The fellowship offers USD 300,000 (about Rs. 2.5 crore) over three years to each selected fellow. The fund will cover salary, relocation, lab setup, and project costs. The aim is simple — attract global talent to solve India’s toughest public health and biomedical challenges through innovation and entrepreneurship.
Applications are open now, and the last date to apply is January 31, 2026. Only institutions with government FCRA approval can nominate candidates.
Up to three fellows will be selected this year — one for each host institution — to work full-time in India and deliver bold, scalable healthcare solutions.
Dr. Vijay Chandru, Co-founder of Strand Life Sciences, said, “With strong private philanthropy and visionary planning, this fellowship can raise India’s innovation level a thousand times and truly drive us toward Viksit Bharat.”
BFI Founder Sandeep Nailwal added, “India already has the talent and institutions. This fellowship will connect global expertise with local opportunities to create real, lasting impact.”
The initiative marks a major step in building India’s reputation as a hub for health science innovation, blending global excellence with local action.
