1. The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Metropolitan Museum of Art, or the Met, is one of the largest and most visited art museums in the world, housing over two million works of art from various periods and regions. You can explore the collections of ancient Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Asian, European, American, African, and Oceanic art, as well as special exhibitions and events. The Met also has two other branches: The Met Cloisters, which showcases medieval art and architecture; and The Met Breuer, which focuses on modern and contemporary art.

2. The National 9/11 Memorial & Museum

The National 9/11 Memorial & Museum is a tribute to the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, and February 26, 1993. The memorial consists of two reflecting pools that mark the footprints of the Twin Towers, surrounded by bronze panels inscribed with the names of the victims. The museum displays artifacts, photographs, videos, and personal stories that document the events and aftermath of the attacks. You can also visit the One World Observatory, which offers panoramic views of the city from the top of the One World Trade Center.

3. Top of The Rock

Top of The Rock is an observation deck located on the 70th floor of the Rockefeller Center, a historic landmark and entertainment complex in Midtown Manhattan. From here, you can enjoy stunning views of Central Park, the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, and other iconic skyscrapers. You can also learn about the history and architecture of the Rockefeller Center through interactive exhibits and multimedia displays. You can take an elevator to the 86th or 102nd floor observation decks, where you can admire breathtaking views of the city and beyond. Ellis Island Immigration Museum and Statue of Liberty are two of the most important historical sites in New York City, representing the nation’s heritage and values. Ellis Island was the gateway for over 12 million immigrants who arrived in America between 1892 and 1954. You can explore their stories and experiences through exhibits, records, and audio tours. The Statue of Liberty is a symbol of freedom and democracy that was gifted by France to America in 1886. You can take a ferry to Liberty Island and climb up to the crown or pedestal of the statue for a closer look.

The American Museum of Natural History is one of the largest and most popular natural history museums in the world, featuring over 40 million specimens and artifacts from various fields of science. It is famous for its spiral-shaped building that houses a collection of modern art from various movements and styles.
