Vizianagaram: Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a defence oriented public sector undertaking of the government of India has come forward to join hands with the Vizianagaram district. BDL has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (Mou) with the district collector stating that they will contribute Rs 2 crore for the development of the area.
This agreement was signed on 3 Jul between District Collector M Hari Jawaharlal and BDL General Manager (HR) S Narayanan at Collector’s Camp Office in Vizianagaram.
As per the agreement, the PSU will assist in taking up of repairs and renovation works to 11 social welfare hostels in the district. As part of the aspirational district’s programme of the central government, PSUs were attached to these districts to take up developmental activities with their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds.
“The district administration is also planning to improve the quality of education and health sector with the funds”, said Hari Jawaharlal, district collector. According to him, some more company will be added in future who will contribute to the betterment of the society.
Joint Collector K V R Reddy, J.C-2 J Seetharama Rao and BDL team members were present at the pact signing.
