KORBA, Chhattisgarh: Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (Balco) organised a rally in village Jambahar, to create mass awareness towards conservation and improvement of the environment on World Environment Day. The programme was organised by the CSR Department of Balco. During the function 350 fruit bearing saplings were distributed to villagers. Saplings were also planted during the programme. Along with Mrs. Chanda Manjhwar, Sarpanch, Jambahar, villagers were present in large numbers in the Programme.
The Programme also had the support of District Horticulture Department and Self-Help Organisation – ‘Shrot’. The programme saw the presence of Manjhwar, Ramkishore Sharma, Head- District Horticulture Department and Ashish Ranjan, A.G.M. CSR, Balco; Manjhwar, Sharma and Ranjan also acquainted the gathering about the importance of keeping the environment clean and green,. The villagers were motivated to plant fruit bearing saplings in large numbers.
