Ambuja Cement Foundation (ACF) has been conferred with two awards by the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) recognising the Foundation’s exemplary work done for the community development.
The 3rd edition of ICC Social Impact Awards 2021, an initiative of the Indian Chamber of Commerce, was recently held in Kolkata
The ICC Social Impact Awards recognize the organisations for their exemplary work done in the field of social investment, CSR and sustainability on a pan-India basis.
Ambuja Cement Foundation Sankrail won an award in recognition for their concerted efforts in the ‘Gender Equality and Women Empowerment’ in the large industry category along with ACF Farakka that won an award in recognition of their efforts in the ‘Healthcare Sector’ in the small project category.
The Awards were presented by the Deputy Consul General of Australia, the Consul General of Japan and the British Deputy High Commissioner.

This is the third consecutive year when the Ambuja Cement Foundation has been recognised at the ICC Social Impact Awards.
These recognitions further validate the important work done by the foundation in community development, especially in healthcare and empowerment of the rural community.
Ambuja Cement FoundationSankrail works on gender sensitization and women empowerment in 16 villages around the Ambuja Cement plant areas.
Under the women empowerment programme, they focus on forming Self-Help Groups, promoting credit planning and integrating the program with other thrust areas like agriculture, water resource management, health and skill development.
Ambuja Cement Foundation Farakka, is working in an area known for its poor healthcare system.
Ambuja Cement Foundation’s initiative around Maternal and Child Health is one of the biggest projects of its kind in the region. Currently, the programme focuses on family planning and strengthening the health of mothers significantly reduced neonatal deaths.
