DHAMRA: Adani Dharma Port observes a week long National fire safety week
which concludes on 20 th April. The Fire Service Week is observed nation-wide from April 14
to 20 in remembrance of the lives lost in the devastating fire that erupted and the explosions
that followed on April 14, 1944 at the Victoria Dock in Bombay Port and also to prevent fire in
all industries. As many as 66 fire fighters lost their lives in the April 14, 1944 incident.
Shri Subrat Tripathy Chief Executive Officer and Shri Sudipt Dasgupta Chief Operational
Officer Adani Dhamra Port pays homage to the brave fire-fighters who have sacrificed their
lives to save others in a programme organised at the Port premises.
During the week-long celebration a host of activities were conducted, such as fire prevention
training and awareness programme and quiz competition.
Shri Subrat Mandal Head, Fire and safety department explained the importance of fire
service week and also thanked to the Port officials and workers for the support and
cooperation for organising the programme successfully.
