Continuing with its mission to conquer COVID, IIFL Foundation donated a servo ventilator machine to the Holy Spirit Hospital, Mumbai. The machine has been setup in the ICU ward that treats patients of COVID-19. This is one of the many initiatives taken by the Foundation to support the underprivileged sections of the society in fighting the pandemic.
Madhu Jain, Director, IIFL Foundation said, “We are adopting a 3600 approach towards supporting the community during the pandemic. On one hand, we are creating awareness around prevention of the pandemic within our community. And on the other, we are supporting the medical fraternity in addressing bottlenecks faced while treating the patients. Our gaze stays firm on supporting the underprivileged populace. Staying true to this thought, we have donated a ventilator to the Holy Spirit Hospital in Mumbai. The hospital will deploy this machine to provide quality, concessional treatment to the deprived patients.”
Shruti Chacko, Director-Finance, Holy Spirit Hospital said, “The management of Holy Spirit Hospital is very grateful to IIFL Foundation for their constant support to the disadvantaged sections of the society. We are touched by their benevolent act of donating the ventilator machine, which will enable treatment of COVID patients who cannot afford the medical emergencies and the accompanying costs.”
The IIFL Foundation has also distributed 175 oxygen concentrators in rural Maharashtra and Rajasthan. It will continue to work with its partners and support its community during this humanitarian crisis, and accomplish its mission to Conquer COVID.
