BHUBANESWAR: OdishaLIVE in alliance with KIIT School of Rural Management is organizing Odisha CSR Summit – 2016 on ‘CSR and Inclusive Growth’ here at KIIT Campus 6, on 12 April, 2016.
The Summit will have three sessions; the Inaugural Session, the Panel Discussion and the Best CSR Practice Awards – 2016. IndiaCSR.in is CSR media partner in the event.
The Inaugural Session will have Debi Prasad Mishra, Minister, Industries, School & Mass Education, as the Chief Guest.
The Guest of Honour will include Dr. Prasanna Kumar Patsani, Member of Praliament, Lok Sabha; Priyadarshi Mishra, MLA; and Ananta Narayan Jena, Mayor, BMC. The Inaugural Session will start at 4.00 pm.
A Panel Discussion will follow the Inaugural Session which will start at 4.30 pm. The theme of the discussion will be ‘CSR & Inclusive Growth’.
The panelist speaking on the occasion will be Charudutt Panigrahi, Founder of FIDR, Gurgaon; Dr. Suvendu Das, President, HR, OSL Group; Prof. L. K. Vaswani, Director, KSRM, KIIT University; and Prasant Kumar Hota, Group CSR Head & Executive Vice President, Corporate Communications, JSPL.
After the Panel Discussion, Best CSR Practices Awards will be presented to Companies and Individuals for innovation & best practices in CSR in the State. To promote the CSR practice among the industries and in corporate world as well as individuals, OdishaLIVE institutionalized the Best CSR Practices Awards 2016.
This Summit aims at getting different stakeholders under one single roof to discuss the present challenges and issues regarding CSR which included discussions on the issues of mandatory CSR and its role in shaping business strategies and synchronizing the business capital with the Social Capital. The Summit also focuses on the need to create awareness amongst Odisha companies on how CSR can be an extension of good corporate governance.
The objective of the Summit is to provide guidance and address challenges and opportunities in ensuring inclusive growth in the business strategies as well as to share experiences and solutions with industry experts and stake holder in relation to achieving inclusive growth in Odisha.
