RAIPUR: Anshu Taneja, a seasoned social development leader, the country director of India of VisionSpring, a leading NPO in eye care sector, will be a guest speaker at CG CSR Leadership Summit at Raipur on 6 Feb 2020.
Anshu Taneja has MBAs from the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford (United Kingdom), and Amity Business School, Noida (India). He is also a Science Graduate from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi (India).
Anshu has several years of experience working across different countries and sectors in the variety of roles. Anshu has had long stints with Johnson &
Johnson and Karl Storz in various capacities. He has also worked with De Beers, Riders for Health, and Opera Software in the United Kingdom and Europe.
Anshu has been leading VisionSpring in India since 2013 and has grown its impact significantly. The organization has grown from 155k pairs a year in 2013 to touching 525k people with eyeglasses annually at the end of 2017.
Anshu is a Fellow of the Aspire Circle, a forum for promoting enlightened social leadership. He was the Chair of Consumer, Marketing, and Healthcare of the Oxford Business Network (OBN).
He was also the Member of the Hospital Planning Sectional Committee of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). Anshu was appointed the representative for the United Nations University (UNU) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) supported global
Women’s Health Initiative (WHI) for improving women’s health in developing countries.
He is a competent tennis player and has played junior nationals in India and has captained the Saïd Business School team at MBAT (MBA Olympics) in Paris (France). His hobbies include running, movies/theatre, and travelling.
Anshu is passionate about leveraging business principles to change the world. In 2017, the University of Oxford, Saïd Business School, and the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship recognised Anshu as an outstanding alumni for using his career to create high impact and effect positive change.
