Dipak Khanna was born in remote area of RaJouri, J & K during partition. His father was District Magistrate in the state of J & K and after retirement got settled in Delhi. From the childhood basic spiritual knowledge and service to the weaker section of society.
After Graduation in Science he worked for five years in Rubber and Allied Industries to gain experience, in manufacturing and sales. After this for more than thirty years was doing flourishing export business to UK, Germany, USA, Spain and South Africa. He also had his own outlets in Los Angeles.
Mission of Serve Samman is to provide training, enabling them to start earning in the same locality. The social environment does not allow them to go outside for job opportunities.
In the Year 2010 at the age of 63 years he decided to quit his Exports Business and took to the path of spirituality to look for inner peace and service to society.
With the mission in mind of service to society he started Serve Samman an NGO and got registration done under Trust Act, 12A & 80G(5)(vi) of Income Tax Act, Foreign Contribution (Regulation) (FCRA) Act and in NGO Darpan of Government of India.
Serve Samman focused on following subjects:
- Healthcare (With a focus on Eye care and Cancer Awareness)
- Education
- Vocational Training
- Hygiene and Sanitation
- Disaster Relief
- Fruit Plantations
Health Care: Specially Eye Care, Free Cataract Surgeries through Eye Camps. We organize 200 camps annually in which we screen approx. 20,000 patients. All patients after screening, found for surgery are transferred to hospital for Free Cataract Surgeries with free boarding and lodging, which are performed at I Care Eye Hospital, Noida. He is a proud member of the Ethics Committee of I Care Eye Hospital since 2013 to till date.
Physically Handicapped: During Health Camps it also helps physically handicapped patients by providing them with wheel chairs, clutches and artificial limbs free of cost.
Vocational Training: In Computer Literacy, Fashion Designing, Beauty Culture & Education to the under privileged weaker sections of the society by empowering Women & Youth.
Disaster Relief: Serve Samman has been committed to providing relief assistance during calamities like the Nepal Earthquake, Uttrakhand floods, Jammu & Kashmir floods, etc. They helped the disaster victims by providing them with a safe shelter, hot meals, essential relief supplies, healthcare services and emotional support.
Fruit Plantation: It has started fruit plantation in villages for protecting the environment also to enhance income of small farmers.
