DHARMA: The 30th road safety week has been celebrated at Adani Dhamra Port and its periphery region through various programmes from 4th to 9th of February . On its inaugural ceremony Dhamra Port Chief Operational Officer Sudeep Dasgupta flagged off the programme.
In this event various awareness programmes like safety oath, rally, safety chariot and opera had been performed with road safety messages. The workers of various organisations who obeyed the safety rules were awarded.
In this safety week programme, Bhadrak district RTO B N Adhikari enlightened the lamp in a programme organised at Adani Dhamra Port and was smitten with the opera performance of ‘Sankhadhwani Road Safety Samiti’, a Bhubaneswar based organisation.
Besides this, a training programme was conducted regarding transportation of heavy vehicles inside the Port, high blood pressure and diabetes test along with eye check up was also being organised. A quiz competition among the port workers and road safety awareness programmes in local schools was also being observed.
A workshop was also organised for the women and children those who are living in port premises. In this weeklong event, winners from various competitions were awarded.
