MUMBAI: There are lot of children who either are deprived of education or have no opportunity and support to complete their basic education. One such case is that of the brilliant Tanuja Dattaram Morye, a girl from Nale Wather in Pawas, Ratnagiri. Her parents are labourers sustaining on daily wages.
When Tanuja passed her SSC exam with 100% score from Swami Swarupanand Vidyamandir, Pawas and needed money to pursue higher education, Finolex Industries along with its CSR partner Mukul Madhav Foundation came forward to help to accomplish her educational aims. They will take care of her junior college fees, expenses towards lodging and boarding, and other requirements. The company donated her Rs 1,17,500.
Ritu Chhabria, Managing Trustee, Mukul Madhav Foundation says, “Tanuja is a bright student from childhood and won a silver medal in Homi Bhabha child scientist competition at state level. Seeing her dedication and towards education we were touched. It is her calibre which has brought where she is today and we wish her the very best.”
Tanuja says, “The support will help me to complete my education. I thank my parents and teachers for the support. It would have not been possible without their continuous guidance.”
