MUMBAI: Wockhardt Foundation, a not-for-profit organization engaged in social service and human welfare activities, is promoting the social welfare leaders for the good work in their respective fields by honoring them with “Eradication of poverty Popular Awards”.
Eradication of poverty is as important as eradication of any disease. Poverty is a disease that not only affects the individual growth but also affects the overall well-being of a nation. This can be done through several ways like education, employment etc. Wockhardt Foundation plays an important role in giving value education through Khel Khel Mein initiative and technological through e-learning initiative. This thus helps the unprivileged section of the society to grow up a level and live a better life.

Popular awards are the awards that the awardees are identified and voted for, not by a jury constituted by a few select persons, but by people at the community at large, through the medium of the internet.
