NEW DELHI: Development Alternative’s annual event TARAgram Yatra 2016 aims to bring together practitioners and policy makers from India and across the world to discuss issues of sustainability.
This programme will also help in identifying what can we do more and different such that India transforms to a greener, sustainable, resilient and inclusive nation. This year the theme of Policy Shifts for Implementing the SDGs in India, strives for localization of the SDGs agenda and hence the imperative of connecting policy with practice. TARA is conducting a Round Table Conference on “Enablers for Entrepreneurship and Employability”. The session aims to address issues related to Technology and Capacity Building for Employment and Entrepreneurship. The overall objective through the discussions is to form a “policy to practice connect” to create scalable solutions for employability and entrepreneurship where the major drivers are capacity building and technology.

The discussions will be focused around:
- Role of capacity building especially of girls, women and youth in the field of employability and entrepreneurship
- Employment challenges faced by youth and the role/need for government and industry to be working in convergence
- Addressing demand-supply situation for technology in the eco-friendly MSEs ecosystem
- Technology innovations required for the MSEs ecosystem
