Supports over 200 meritorious female students from underserved backgrounds, covering the full duration of their graduation programs, ahead of International Literacy Day
NEW DELHI (India CSR): On the occasion of International Literacy Day on 8th September, PNB Housing Finance awarded scholarships to over 200 meritorious girl students of Miranda House, University of Delhi, reinforcing the commitment to strengthening women’s education and empowerment. As part of its Pehel Shiksha education intervention, the Company extended its support to girls from underserved backgrounds with scholarships covering the full duration of their three-year graduation programs across diverse streams.
Access to higher education remains a significant challenge for many talented young women from economically disadvantaged families. By providing support throughout the duration of the degree, PNB Housing Finance aims to help reduce financial uncertainty and enable students to complete their education with confidence and dignity.
Speaking about the initiative, Ajai Kumar Shukla, MD & CEO, PNB Housing Finance Limited, said, “At PNB Housing Finance, we believe education is one of the most meaningful investments in the future. As part of the initiative, PNB Housing Finance hosted a mentorship engagement session at Miranda House, bringing together the 200 meritorious students and employee volunteers from the Company, creating a meaningful platform for exchange of ideas, aspirations and learning.
