BENGALURU (India CSR): NTPC Kudgi, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, organised a Distribution Programme of Aids & Assistive Devices for Divyangjans on 20th August 2026, in association with the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), Bengaluru.
The programme provided assistive devices worth approximately Rs 30.00 lakh to beneficiaries from the Nearby villages i.e Kudgi, Mutagi, Masuti, Telgi and Golasangi. A total of 191 assistive devices were distributed to 109 Divyangjans. The devices included motorised tricycles, wheelchairs, hearing aids, crutches, walking aids, educational kits, smartphones, limbs and calipers, along with other assistive aids.

The support is aimed at enhancing mobility, communication, education and day-to-day functioning, thereby helping beneficiaries move towards greater independence and confidence.
The programme was graced by Santosh Tiwari, Head of Project (NTPC-Kudgi), along with S U. Haridas, GM-O&M; Sanjit Dutta, GM-Maintenance; SVD Ravikumar, Head of HR ; Raj Boravankar, Chief Medical Officer, NTPC Kudgi, representatives of the Union and Association and other officials of NTPC Kudgi.

The initiative reflects NTPC Kudgi’s commitment to a CSR approach that goes beyond providing material assistance. By enabling mobility, communication, education and greater participation in everyday life, the programme seeks to create conditions where Divyangjans can live with greater independence, dignity and confidence.
Assistive devices can play an important role in reducing everyday barriers faced by persons with disabilities. A motorised tricycle or wheelchair can facilitate mobility, hearing aids can support communication, while educational kits and smartphones can provide greater access to learning and information.
The initiative goes beyond the distribution of assistive devices it is about enabling mobility, strengthening independence and building confidence. Through such initiatives, NTPC Kudgi continues its commitment to inclusive and dignified community development.
