CHAKAN (India CSR® ): Reinforcing its commitment to community development and social well-being, HORIBA India has donated a fully equipped ambulance to the Federation of Chakan Industries (FCI) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, “Together We Grow.” The ambulance was formally handed over during a ceremony held at the HORIBA India Technical Center (HITC) in Chakan.

The initiative is aimed at strengthening emergency medical response and improving access to timely healthcare services for employees and residents across the Chakan MIDC industrial belt and surrounding communities. The ambulance keys were ceremonially handed over by Dr. Rajeev Gautam, President, HORIBA India, in the presence of representatives from the Federation of Chakan Industries (FCI), Grassroot Action for Reconstruction and Development (GARD), members of the local industrial community, and other stakeholders.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rajeev Gautam said, “We believe that industry has a responsibility that goes beyond business. Giving back to society is at the core of our values, and this ambulance is a small but meaningful step towards supporting the health and safety of the Chakan community.”

Addressing the gathering & highlighting the background and objective of the CSR initiative, R.T. Desai, Plant Head and Group Field Officer – E&E, HORIBA India, said,“Chakan is a rapidly growing industrial hub, and access to timely emergency medical services is critical for both industry employees and the surrounding community. Through this initiative, HORIBA India is proud to partner with the Federation of Chakan Industries and GARD to create meaningful, on-ground impact. This is a true reflection of our belief that when industry and society collaborate, everyone grows together.”

The event also witnessed a keynote address by Dr. Yashwant Palghadmal, Managing Trustee of GARD, who emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between industry and social organisations in building resilient and inclusive communities.

The ceremony concluded with a traditional puja and green flag-off of the ambulance, marking its formal induction into service for the Chakan region. Through initiatives under its “Together We Grow” CSR philosophy, HORIBA India continues to work closely with industry bodies and social organisations to contribute towards sustainable community development and improved social well-being.

Started in 2006 as a separate legal entity, HORIBA India is engaged in three business verticals, including Energy and Environment, Bio and Healthcare, and Material and Semiconductor. With its India headquarters in New Delhi, HORIBA India has been growing steadily at an average growth rate of more than 15% every year. With a workforce of 500 employees, HORIBA’s India business has established itself in various industries with an increasing market share. HORIBA India President, Dr. Rajeev Gautam’s vision is to grow revenues, aiming at 20 B.JPY by the year 2028.
