ANGUL (Odisha): Jindal Steel on Thursday observed the birthday of its Chairperson Emerita, Smt. Savitri Jindal, with a series of charitable and spiritual activities in Odisha’s Angul district, the company said.
As part of the observance, Jindal Foundation, along with employees, visited old age homes and orphanages across the district. The teams spent time with residents, shared meals and extended support to elderly persons and children.
Senior officials, including Angul Location Head and Executive Director P K Biju Nair, Executive Director (Iron Zone) Damodar Mittal, Executive Director (SMS & Mills) Hridayeshwar Jha, and President (HR) Dilip Sinha, joined employees, workers and community members in conveying wishes for Savitri Jindal’s health and well-being.

Prayer meetings and hawans were also organised at the Devbhoomi Temple in Jindal Nagar and at DAV Savitri Jindal High School, seeking blessings for her continued health, happiness and prosperity.
The company said shared meals were organised at plant canteens, while gatherings were also held at locations including the Executive Director’s office and Veer Bhoomi at Shramik Vihar, reflecting a spirit of unity and gratitude.
Jindal Steel said the initiative was aimed at celebrating Savitri Jindal’s legacy through service and community outreach.

Savitri Jindal has remained active in public life and philanthropy. She earlier served as a minister in the Haryana government and is currently an Independent MLA from Hisar. The company said she has continued to support initiatives in education, healthcare and the welfare of underprivileged communities.
