BENGALURU (India CSR): To mark Karnataka Rajyotsava, Prestige Group today launched the Prestige Green Promise, a landmark initiative committing to plant one million trees across Bengaluru, reaffirming its long-standing environmental stewardship and dedication to sustainable urban living.
The initiative began with a symbolic plantation of ten thousand saplings by Prestige, one tree for every employee, signifying a shared pledge toward a greener future. The inaugural drive took place in partnership with the Karnataka Forest Department and Thats Eco Foundation.

Speaking on the occasion, Nirbhay Lumde, Senior Vice President (ESG & Sustainability), Prestige Group, said, “On Karnataka Rajyotsava, we celebrate our bond with the land that has shaped us. The Prestige Green Promise embodies our gratitude to Karnataka and our collective commitment to creating greener, healthier, and more resilient cities. It is a living tribute to the state and to every individual who calls Bengaluru home.”
The Prestige Green Promise is envisioned as a citywide movement, engaging employees, residents, students, and citizen volunteers through continuous plantation drives, community events, and awareness campaigns. Each tree planted under this initiative will contribute to enhancing Bengaluru’s biodiversity and strengthening its climate resilience.

This commitment builds on Prestige Group’s ongoing environmental initiatives, including lake rejuvenation, biodiversity enhancement, and the adoption of tiger cubs Simba and Sheru at Bannerghatta Biological Park. Together, these actions underscore the Group’s holistic approach to sustainability by building world-class developments with a greener legacy for future generations.
