Welcoming Lord Kuber with devotion and Vastu alignment creates a space that attracts wealth and abundance.

If you’re looking to attract wealth and abundance in your lives, you may have heard the age-old advice to place an idol of Lord Kuber in your home. Revered as the God of Wealth, Lord Kuber is said to bring material riches, financial stability, and prosperity into the lives of his devotees.

However, simply placing the idol isn’t enough. In the Indian tradition, where energy flow within a space is considered just as important as intention, aligning with Vastu Shastra becomes essential.

So before you bring Lord Kuber statue into your home, take a moment to understand where and how to place it – because when done right, even the smallest spiritual shift can open the door to abundance.

Let’s explore the best practices to attract his blessings & favour.

First, what is Vastu Shastra, and why should you consider it

Vastu Shastra literally translates to the “science of architecture”. It is an ancient Indian school of thought that aims to integrate architecture with natural forces like sunlight, wind, and gravity.

It is said that integrating Vastu principles with architecture can boost health, wealth, and prosperity by transforming spaces into harbours of good energies. Which is why Vastu principles are an important consideration when deciding where to place your God idols, as they can help channel their divine energies.

Things to consider when placing a Lord Kuber Idol at home

Here are the five things to keep in mind before placing the Lord Kuber statue at home.

  1. Statue characteristics

Vastu principles advise against bringing home large or hollow statues. It is preferred that the statues are not made with delicate materials like ceramics or clay that are easily breakable.

  1. Placement

According to Vastu, there are two placements suggested for a Kuber Idol if you want to attract abundance in your life.

The first is the Northeast corner, an auspicious space for a home temple. It is advised that the statue should face the West while the devotee should face the East while offering prayers.

The second direction is North, the direction that Lord Kubera is the guardian of. The North is also associated with the element of water, which symbolizes wealth & abundance. In this direction, the god idol should face the South, while the devotee should face the North while offering prayers.

  1. Surroundings

It is suggested that the surrounding areas where the Kuber idol is placed should be regularly cleaned & maintained.

The space should also be free of bulky or broken furniture. When planning the map of the house, Vastu also advises against having shoe racks & toilets in the corner where the statue is placed to avoid attracting negative energies.

  1. Placement among other God idols

When placing the Kuber statue in the temple room, never place the idol above or at par with Lord Shiva’s statues. Lord Kuber is considered an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva, and consequently, his idol should always be placed at a lower level.

  1. Prayers and offerings

Regularly offering Naivedyam (sacred food)  to Lord Kuber, along with flowers, incense, and small lights, is considered auspicious. It is also suggested to keep a bowl of coins in front of Lord Kuber to attract wealth & abundance.

In order to attract his favour, devotees can also chant the following prayers,

  • Kuber Dhana Prapti Mantra: Om Shreem Hreem Kleem Shreem Kleem Vitteshvaraya Namah
  • Kuber AshtaLakshmi Mantra: Om Hreem Shreem Kreem Shreem Kuberya Ashta-Lakshmi Mama Grihe Dhanam Puraya Puraya Namah
  • Kuber Gayatri Mantra: Om Yaksharaajaya Vidmahay, Vaishravanaya Dhimahi, Tanno Kuber Prachodayat

Final Thoughts

By welcoming Lord Kuber into your home with intention, devotion, and alignment to Vastu Shastra, you create a powerful space charged with the energy to attract wealth and abundance.

Vastu, with its deep-rooted wisdom, acts as a guide to help channel natural forces in your favour, allowing divine blessings to flow freely through your home and life.

It is not just about direction or decor – it’s about respect, belief, and connection with the natural forces that dictate our lives. Keeping the space clean for your Kuber idol, choosing the right materials & placement, and offering daily prayers are all ways to honour his presence and invite his favour into your life.

When done with faith and care, these simple rituals can help unlock doors to prosperity, elevate your finances, and infuse your home with lasting positive energy. Keeping these principles in mind, may Lord Kuber’s presence fill your space with wealth, well-being, and good fortune.
