MUMBAI (India CSR): Allcargo Gati Limited (formerly Gati), India’s leading Express Distribution and Supply Chain Management company, has taken a significant step toward enhancing the health and well-being of its business partner communities. In January 2025, the company organized free eye care camps at its logistics hubs in Ambala, Bilaspur, Farukhnagar, and Bhiwandi. This initiative is part of Allcargo Gati’s broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment to ensuring a safer and healthier workplace, recognizing the critical role that vision health plays in road safety and operational performance.

Ensuring Eye Health for Safer Operations

The free eye care camps facilitated comprehensive eye check-ups for over 213 operational team members, conducted by experienced medical professionals. The initiative identified 76 individuals with vision impairments who received free corrective spectacles to address their vision challenges.

The program also provided first-aid kits to all participants, underscoring the company’s dedication to safety and preparedness. By addressing eye health issues, Allcargo Gati is directly contributing to the reduction of potential risks associated with impaired vision, particularly for those working in logistics and transportation.

Adding to this, Dr. Nilratan Shende, Head of CSR at Allcargo Group, remarked:
“Operational team welfare is a cornerstone of our CSR initiatives. Their health and safety are essential for their well-being and for ensuring safer roads for everyone. This initiative exemplifies our ongoing dedication to fostering a secure and supportive workplace.”

A Holistic CSR Approach

The eye care camps are part of Allcargo Group’s broader CSR strategy that focuses on:

  • Healthcare Initiatives: Regular health camps, eye care drives, and wellness programs.
