Glenmark Pharmaceuticals has introduced the Impact@45 Campaign ahead of its milestone 45th anniversary.
NEW DELHI (India CSR): Glenmark Pharmaceuticals’ Impact@45 campaign has enabled the company to achieve significant impact through its CSR initiatives. The company’s focus on environmental sustainability and access to healthcare has resulted in significant benefits to communities across 16 countries. The company’s ESG goals of becoming water neutral by 2025 also align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and demonstrate the company’s commitment to sustainable business practices.
The leading pharmaceutical company has launched the Impact@45 campaign ahead of its 45th anniversary in November 2023. The campaign aims to encourage employees to contribute to the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives across 16 countries from 35 locations.
Tree Plantation Target Achieved
As part of the campaign, Glenmark aimed to plant 4500 trees. So far, the company has planted 2615+ trees across locations, with participation from medical representatives, doctors, and other employees. The company has also partnered with GrowTrees to plant 1500 trees at the project ‘Trees for Tigers™’ in Ramtek, Maharashtra.
1,00,000 Eco-Bags Made by Employees
Glenmark has also launched the Eco-Bag Championship 2.0 initiative to encourage employees to use eco-friendly bags over regular plastic bags. The employees engaged in making over 1,00,000 paper bags, reused old newspapers, and engaged plant and R&D employees in making eco-bags.
CSR Projects Achieving Significant Impact
The Impact@45 campaign has enabled Glenmark to achieve significant impact through its CSR initiatives. The company has reached out to over 31,900 beneficiaries in Gujarat through Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) interventions. The company has also provided health interventions to over 46,000+ beneficiaries in Sikkim and Himachal Pradesh through Mobile Medical Units.
ESG Goals of Becoming Water Neutral by 2025
Glenmark has also launched the Jal Kavach project in Maharashtra as part of its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitment. The company aims to create 40 crore liters of additional water storage capacity and rejuvenate water bodies across 30+ villages of Nashik, Sinnar, and Aurangabad. Glenmark aims to become water neutral by 2025 through its CSR initiatives.
