New Delhi: Karan Jain, Founder of HROne, a leading human resources consulting firm, has shared his expectations for the upcoming Budget 2023 in the HR and Skilling sector in India. According to Jain, the HR sector has undergone major changes in the last three years and is looking to the government to address several key issues in the upcoming budget.

One of the major themes Jain has highlighted is the implementation of labour codes. The Indian government has already drafted several key rules and codes that focus on formalizing employment for more people, enforcing a common definition of minimum wages, and rolling out security and health benefits schemes. However, Jain has emphasized the need for smooth implementation, suggesting that the rollout of online portals and help desks will be crucial.

Another key theme Jain has highlighted is the rising skills gap that has impeded job creation in India. To address this, Jain has called for more upskilling initiatives in the upcoming budget, with incentives for existing organizations and employees to undertake large-scale upskilling projects.

Jain has also highlighted the importance of addressing the needs of gig workers in India. He has called for new tax structures and incentives to improve the well-being and insurance coverage of these employees.

In addition to these themes, Jain has also stressed the importance of improvements in tax administration procedures and visibility into the status of the staffing industry. Overall, Jain has emphasized the need for the government to take proactive steps to support the growth and development of the HR and Skilling sector in India.
