CHANDWA (Jharkhand): Abhijeet Group, Chandwa leaves no stone unturned when it comes to protection of Environment. When contacted, Amrendra Kumar, AGM-CSR explained the essence of World Environment Day and how Sustainability of all living features on the earth is on stake and thus every state across world has responsibility to proceed towards Green Economy.
Though environment is a perennial issue for us at Chandwa yet World Environment Day is an annual event aimed at bringing all the stakeholders together to propagate the message even to the remotest village of this area to ensure a cleaner, greener and brighter outlook for ourselves and future generations.
A Green Economy is one whose growth in income and employment is driven by public and private investments that reduce carbon emissions and pollution, enhance energy and resource efficiency, and prevent the loss of biodiversity and ecosystem services.
On this occasion everyone gave his consent in optimizing the usage of energy thereby reducing the emission of CO2.
At Plant site activities are taking place all across the project affected areas. Writing Slogans, Making Posters, Quiz Contest, Planting trees and Plant distribution to the villagers are predominantly the major issues attracted every one and being executed with great zeal.
Plantation of tree is one of the major activities and more than 5000 plants will planted within stipulated time under this drive.
During the celebration of World environment day at plant site the Public representatives Mrs. Anita Devi, Upadhyakhsya, Jila Parishad, Mr. Mohan Ganjhu, Member, Jila Parishad, Md. Mohfil Khan, Chairman, Visthapit Vikash Sahyog Samiti, Chakla, Md, Hasibullah, Visthapit Vikash Sahyog Samiti, Dhadhu, Mukhiya and many others were present to convey the message of their concern.
Rajeev Goyal, CCM also expressed his concern towards the environment and persuaded all to do the best to protect the environment enable us and our future generation to live in comfort. He appealed to plant at least 5 plants per person for the betterment of environment.
Through World Environment Day, we try to personalize the environmental issues and enable everyone to realize not only one’s responsibility, but also their power to become catalyst for change in support of sustainable and equitable development.
The Prize distribution for quiz contest, Slogan and Poster competition was one of the main attractions which compelled everyone to know more about the environment and related issues.
More than 100 people participated in the events all together.
