This role is based in Gurgaon reporting directly to Chief Government Affairs & Communications Officer, PACS team. The role holder will drive the Sustainability & CSR agenda for the organisation.
New Delhi: PepsiCo, the global food and beverage company, has announced the hiring of an Associate Director of Sustainability in India. The role will be based in Gurugram and will report directly to the Chief Government Affairs and Communications Officer. The associate director will lead the sustainability and CSR agenda for the organization, developing and implementing strategies that align with PepsiCo’s pep+ initiatives, which include positive water impact, plastic waste management, sustainable agriculture, and climate change.
The Associate Director’s main responsibilities include driving the pep+ sustainability vision for PepsiCo India, achieving sustainability KPIs around water and plastics, developing, implementing, and monitoring a comprehensive CSR plan for PepsiCo India, implementing and monitoring PepsiCo Foundation programs, enhancing the company’s reputation through sustainability and CSR programs, and evaluating and building strategic partnerships with NGOs and other stakeholders for the implementation of sustainability and CSR programs, and to promote the company’s image.
The candidate will have a minimum of 12-15 years of experience in a professional setting with a good mix of environment and development background. Additionally, they should have sound knowledge related to water, waste, climate change and other key environmental issues faced by business in India, a deep understanding of regulatory issues such as 2% CSR Rules & Plastic Waste Management Rules, experience of developing at least 3 sustainability reports and leading at least 2 CSR programs, and the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion. They should have a Master’s degree in Environment /Sustainable Development or related fields.
