MUMBAI: The Vision Foundation of India (VFI), recently hosted an event to honor and felicitate members of the Nirmala Dinesh Shah family, (Atam Deep Trust, Asian Star Co. Ltd.), who have added a new mobile eye van to the fleet of mobile vans already at VFI.
The Chief Guest for the event was the Minister of State for Communication and IT Milind Deora, while the Guests of Honor were executive Mentor, Motivator and communication expert Rooshi Kumar Pandya and the Commissioner of Police, Navi Mumbai Javed Ahmed.
The event was kick started into motion by an address by Managing Trustee VFI, Dr. Kulin Kothari where he spoke about milestones achieved by the foundation till date. He also honored and felicitated the Nirmala Dinesh Shah family, Atam Deep Trust, Asian Star Co. Ltd. for their noble contribution towards the foundation’s cause.
Minister Milind Deora also addressed the gathering, followed by Rooshi Pandya and Javed Ahmed, and complimented Dr Kothari and VFI for their philanthropic work in the fields of blindness and eye disease. He also wished them luck for all their future endeavors.
The words of praise were followed by a digital inauguration of the van, and responses from the audience. Many philanthropic individuals came forward and spoke about how they truly believed in and wished to support the work carried out at VFI even further.
We received spontaneous contributions from well-wishers who wanted to better the lives of the underprivileged in our society.
The event came to an end with a vote of thanks, followed by a delicious lunch at Status, during which participants had an opportunity to interact with the Guests of Honor as well as members of the Shah family. All in all it was a day to remember, a day that brought some very special individuals together for a noble purpose.
