MUMBAI (India CSR): Pune-based FUEL NGO, headed by Ketan Deshpande has partnered with India CSR as a presenting partner for the prestigious Maharashtra CSR Summit, which is being organised on July 27 in Mumbai.
After the Pandemic, Maharashtra CSR Summit will bring the leaders of the social sector in Maharashtra on one platform. The FUEL is a non-profit organization that has a vision and mission to empower the youth and make them future-ready. FUEL has been working towards value-based education and skill development of the youth from the marginalised sector across India.
Visionary social entrepreneur Ketan Deshpande, also Founder Chairman and CEO of FUEL will deliver the keynote address at the Summit. Under his leadership FUEL trains the youngsters in advanced skills like Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, Machine Learning, and so on. FUEL, since the last decade, has impacted more than a million beneficiaries throughout India.
Friends Union for Energising Lives (FUEL) was founded in 2007 by social entrepreneur Ketan Deshpande, Cambridge Fellow.
Ketan Deshpande along with his mentor Santosh Huralikoppi is working to establish a private university named FUEL University in Pune, the education capital city of the country. The University model will be based on German Cooperative University, in which 50% of the time the student undergoes practical hands-on learning with industry partners and the balance 50% on the academic curriculum.
Fuel NGO has made its mark by providing skill training to thousands of youth. Today this institution has become an established name in the country in imparting skill training to rural and urban youth.
Several companies under CSR have participated in FUEL’s skill development mission.
This institution has established its wide campus in Pune. Ketan Deshpande started a social development organisation Friends Union For Energising Lives (FUEL) at age of 19. President of India Dr. Abdul Kalam inspired him to serve society.
Ketan has received blessings and is privileged to meet Dr. Kalam to exchange ideas on youth affairs. Ketan has the vision to transform the lives of 1 million youths in India. The Pune-based NGO has transformed the lives of thousands of youths through various CSR and corporate partnerships.

The state-level annual forum that would also feature Maharashtra CSR Awards and Exhibition, would witness the largest gathering of CSR and developmental sector leaders of Maharashtra after the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Summit, which is themed around ‘Leveraging CSR to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Maharashtra is being organised by India CSR Network and aims to put forth the CSR agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for Maharashtra state.
